QUESTIONS
Fashion
How do I find the right weather protection shell?
Pay attention to breathability during ascents and weather resistance in wind/precipitation. The Trail Hipe Shell is a versatile 2.5-layer all-rounder: light, small pack size, strong in changeable weather. For more warmth, combine with mid-layers (fleece/light insulation) underneath.
What goes under a shell jacket?
Baselayer that quickly wicks moisture away from the skin (merino or high-tech), plus a thin mid-layer for temperature buffering. This way you stay dry, warm, flexible.
What is layering?
Layering that works in Klosters
-
Base layer: wicks moisture away – dry = warm.
-
Mid-layer: regulates – from light grid fleece to hybrid insulation.
-
Shell: blocks wind/snow, remains breathable (e.g., Hipe).
Fit Tip: We’ll check with you how backpack straps, helmet & gloves interact with the jacket.
For your feet: socks + boot = system – feel free to try them on.
Do you have seasonal recommendations?
Of course, for winter, we recommend: insulation mid-layer + weatherproof shell, beanie/neck warmer, gloves (grip + warmth).
for summer/transition: light shell + breathable shirt, pack size matters – the Trail Hipe fits in your backpack.
Why buy sportswear at Gotschna?
Because we…
-
Listen: What do you really need – touring, piste, everyday?
-
Adjust: Fit & layering are tested on site.
-
Explain: We show you why it feels better – so you can find it again.
Come by and try on our great sportswear in the shop.
What length is right for me?
Piste/carver mostly − 5–10 cm, all-mountain around body height, tour − 5 cm to body height. In the store, we also adapt everything to your style.
